The Panhellenic Association of State School Teachers of English (PEKADE), housed in Athens, was set up in 1978 as a non-profit association of teachers of English. Today, its members amount to 3000 teachers in Primary and Secondary state school education. The Association has developed, all over Greece, a wide range of activities with the aim to upgrade the English teacher's role in the field of the English language teaching.

In the framework of these activities, there has been a systematic dissemination of information to our members about new educational issues as well as new challenges in English language teaching in public schools.

We welcome you to the PEKADE site and kindly ask that you have a continuous contact with us, so as to exploit in the best way the services offered by the internet.
